Merry Christmas – thanks for helping me go through 2020.

Merry Christmas Everyone.

This year has been a unique and a hard one for all of us due to pandemic.

But, my time this year in Reap Benefit has been remarkable one. Thanks to everyone.

1. What started off as a dashboard to help citizens find information and to help people in need at hyper local level – in the month of April.
2. 2. It emerges into a beautiful community of local problem solvers who care and want to solve with collaborative spirit for problems around them.
3. 3. The community is young with about 1500 young people across the country taking local actions.
4. 4. With Pandemic pushing us out of our comfort zone and need to be creative. To help build a movement of young local problem solvers we have launched our whats app based chatbot in the month of July.
5. 5. Currently, we have about 13000+ users who are mobilised with the chatbot out of which around 25% have taken successful problem solving action.
6. 6. During this phase, we along focused on building India’s first open civic platform which consist of, 1. Chatbot 2. Webapp 3. Forum
7. 7. The platform is envisioned as a societal platform for anyone to use to leverage their work with citizens movement.
8. 8. Our civic forum has been completely led by our young community who drive deeper discussions around policy, local solutions and local citizen engagements, etc.,
9. 9. I am glad at a personal level I was able to get back and leverage on my belief of digital tools acting as a tool for empowerment.

Looking forward to an another year of building this movement of young people using technology as a leveraging tool along with a mission aligned team Reap Benefit and thousands of young people aspiring to do their little part in brining a change at neighbourhood level.
